Photographic Exhibition · Warwick Art Gallery · 23rd February 2012 - 1st April 2012
In 1863, a young immigrant from Germany named Christopher Roggenkamp opened a photographic studio in the small Queensland town of Warwick. Four generations later and his family have never stopped taking photos.
In February/March 2012, the Warwick Art Gallery will host an exibition of photographs by Christopher Roggenkamp and the following four generations of the family. Showcasing changes in photographic styles and fashions over the 150 years, from black and white portraits of the 1860s to the bold digital images of today, the exhibition is a unique collection of Australia's living photographic history.
